After Orison passed in 1916, Will Perry helped raise Marguerite. Additionally, for a period of time, Cordy and Will helped raise Emma Ione (nee: Trowbridge) McNeill, 1910-1989, who used the name Ione. Ione is the youngest daughter of Cordy's paternal cousin, Emma A. (nee: Whiting) Trowbridge, 1867-1910. Her father is Almon Whiting Sr., 1821-1908. Almon is the brother of Francis Lewis Whiting, 1830-1909. Francis is the father of Cordy – A.R.M. jr (2023).
