Anna Christine Louise Wallgren was born January 5, 1881 in chicago, Cook co., Illinois to Erik Ferdinand and Ida Fredrika (Quarfoth) Wallgren. She moved with her family to Ishpeming, MI, where her father passed away in 1889. Her mother took her children to Minnesota sometime after Erik's death, and remarried to Olof P. Winberg. The family was in Carlton County by 1895 and remained in that county. Anna married Walter Everett Oswell on October 13, 1904 in Carlton County. They remained in Carlton County until their deaths. Walter and Annie had 7 children, one of which died in infancy. Annie Oswell passed away on December 21, 1923 in Carlton, MN and is buried in Hillcrest Cemetery.
