Agnes Hulda Wallgren was born in Ishpeming, Marquette County, MI on March 2, 1889, to Erik Ferdinand and Ida Fredrika (Quarfoth) Wallgren. She was the fourth and last daughter of Erik and Ida before Erik's death. After his death, Ida and her four daughters moved to Minnesota, where she married Olof P. Winberg.

Agnes was married to Carl Lof May 26, 1910 in Cloquet, Carlton County, Minnesota. She and her husband continued to live in Cloquet and were in the Cloquet Forest Fire of 1918. Agnes died of influenza on November 3, 1918 at age 29. She was buried at East Hillcrest Cemetery in Cloquet, Minnesota. Carl later moved to Calhoun County, Michigan, where he remarried and had children.
