Patricia was born in Paducah, Cottle County, Texas and daughter of the late Lynn Chester and Sarah Lou Chapman Hanks. She was a co-owner of Richards Electric. She served on the Hobbs School Board for two terms and served on the Manna Outreach Board. She was a founding member of the Highland Christian Church. She enjoyed farming and her greatest joy was her family. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Patricia passed away on September 1, 2012 at the Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs, Lea County, New Mexico. Among her survivors are one son, Tim Richards and wife, Donna from Hobbs; one grandson, Wayne Richards from Albuquerque, New Mexico; two granddaughters, Karen Nichols from Hobbs, Jodi Silva from Houston, Texas and four great-grandchildren.Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Friday September 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Harold Armstrong officiating with burial in Prairie Haven.Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Richards, her parents, Lynn Chester and Sarah Lou Chapman Hanks and 10 brothers and sisters.Obituary Source:Chapel of Hope Funerals and Cremations 3321 North Dal Paso, Hobbs, New Mexico 88240
