Lema was born in Nacogdoches County, Texas a daughter of the late Lynn Chester and Sarah Lou Chapman Hanks and own October 30, 1934 she married T.A. Majors in Wilbarger, Texas and married Henry Ellis Parks on May 7, 1988 in Portales, New Mexico. Lema passed away on Sunday January 28, 2003 in Houston, Texas. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Myrna Bray from Houston, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Axe from Paducah, Texas, Mrs. Linny B. Biddy from Forney, Texas, Mrs. Patricia Lynn Richards from Hobbs, New Mexico; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held at First Christian Church on Thursday at 2 P.M.with Rev. Roy C. Keith officiating with internment in Garden of Memories Cemetery-Seigler Funeral Home.
