Paducah Resident Since 1923 Dies

PADUCAH, Tex. (Special) - Darrel Hanks, 64, a resident of Paducah since 1923, died Tuesday in a Paducah hospital.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Glenn, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories under direction of Norris Funeral Home.

Born Dec. 5, 1906, in Nacadoches [sic], Tex., Hanks had been a groceryman in Paducah for 20 years. He married Jim Mae Parks Aug. 18, 1927, in Paducah.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, James of North Little Rock, Ark., Thomas of Corpus Christi and Larry of Ft. Hood, Tex.; seven sisters, Mrs. Captola Reedy of Alvord, Tex., Mrs. Beulah Hornbuckle of Prescott, Ariz., Mrs. Les ta Givens and Mrs. Mollie Axe of Paducah, Mrs. Lema Majors of Clovis, N.M., Mrs. Lennie Biddy of Plainview, Tex., and Mrs. Patsy Richards of Hobbs, N.M.; two borthers [sic], Buster of Hobbs and Jake of Almogordo [sic], N.M.; and four grandchildren.
