Farm Pioneer.

Clint Turner, 64, well-known pioneer Roger Mills county farmer, passed away suddenly at his farm home, Sunday as the result of a heart attack.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed pending arrival of his children, but will probably be Wednesday or Thursday at the Hammon Methodist church with burial at the Red Hill cemetery, Martin-Hullum, funeral directors, announced today.

Mr. Turner was born Aug. 9, 1881 in Mason county, Texas. He was united in marriage Oct. 31, 1908 to Miss Bessie Damron at Sayre. He had come to Roger Mills county in 1900 and with his family had resided there ever since.

Surviving him besides his wife are the following children: Mrs. Cora Moore, Washington, Okla.; Willis Turner, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Morean Schoonover, San Antonio, Texas and Lois Turner of the same city. Preceding him in death were two other children.

He also leaves three sisters: Mrs. Ada Hill and Mrs. Nonah Morton, both of Hammon; and Mrs. Laura Deason of California. His surviving brothers are: Tom, Newt and Houston Turner, all of Hammon.

Funeral services for Clint Turner, well-known Roger Mills county pioneer, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday from the Hammon Methodist church.

Burial will be in the Red Hill cemetery with Martin-Hullum, funeral directors, in charge.

Mr. Turner succumbed Sunday following a heart attack at his farm home five miles west of Hammon.

In his immediate family he leaves his wife and the following children: Mrs. Cora Moore, Washington, Okla.; Willis Turner, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Morean Schoonover, San Antonio, Texas and Lois Turner of the same city. Preceding him in death were two other children.

CUMBS TO HEART ATTACK


Clint Turner, who has resided in the Gerring and Hammon communities since the early days, succumbed Sunday to a heart attack.

Mr. Turner had been working with a hired man in an effort to get a horse out of a bog in the river. After the rope been fastened to the horse and to a pickup, Mr. Turner got in the pickup to start it in order to pull the animal out of the river when he suddenly passed away.

Sheriff Jodie Moad and N. M. Bowman of Cheyenne were called and an inquest held, the return of which was that Mr. Turner had died as the result of a heart attack.
