VIOLA L. DUBINSHAK
After a severn year struggle with heart disease and illness, Viola L. Dubinshak, 72, slipped away on Dec. 11, 1997, to be with her beloved Lord. Formerly of Sutersville, Pa., she had resided in Feltrop's Personal Care Home for the past several years.
Born July 20, 1925, in West Newton, Westmoreland County, a daughter of the late William and Betty Backstrom, she was a resident and lived in Ohioville with her daughter until she moved to Feltrop's in 1991.
Surviving are her daughter, Shirly Shychuck; a son-in-law, William; a grandson, William Jr., and his wife, Glory; a great-granddaughter, Emma, all of Ohioville; three brothers, Robert Backstrom, Erie, and Russel and william Backstrom, West Newton, Pa., and two sisters, Olga Dennick, Yukon, Pa., and Joanne Pierce, West Newton, Pa.
Friends will be received Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in CAMPBELL'S CHIPPEWA FUNERAL HOME 2618 Darlington Road, and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Richard F. Dodson Memorial Home, West Newton, Pa., where a service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
