Alvino Frésquez, age 84, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012.
Alvino was born on January 6, 1928.
Alvino and his wife, Tillie were married 51 years.
Alvino proudly served his country in the Korean War.
Alvino worked for the telephone company approximately 30 years and then retired. Alvino enjoyed traveling and visiting his family who lived in various parts of the country and the world.
When at home, his passion was fishing. Alvino fished in almost all of the lakes in New Mexico including Cochiti, Bluewater, Elephant Butte, Santa Rosa, Roswell and Heron. Alvino was also a talented artist, and enjoyed working in his garden.
Alvino was a member of Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church.
Alvino is survived by his three daughters, Diane Frésquez and her husband, Richard, Maureen Smith and her husband, Steve of Frisco, TX and Arlene Frésquez Patrick and her husband, Mark of Summit, NJ, five granddaughters, brothers and sisters, Prestina Sánchez-Davis of Albuquerque, Effie Frésquez Chávez of Albuquerque, Gloria Mendola and her husband, Peter of Roswell, NM, Linda Yrisarri of Anaheim, CA, Chris Frésquez and his wife, Marilyn of Belen, NM and Anthony Frésquez and his friend, Gerri Candelaria of Rio Rancho, NM and many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont St. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Belén Memorial Gardens in Belén, NM.
