OBITUARY - WILLISTON DAILY HERALD - WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 1986 - PAGE 5B, COLUMN 1

Mrs. Rachel C. Krause, 84, a longtime Williston resident, formerly of 321 W. Highland Drive, and lately of the Bethel Lutheran Home, died Tuesday, November 25, 1986, in Mercy Hospital, Williston.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Williston. The Rev. Raymond A. Aydt will officiate and burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday, November 28, in the Everson Funeral Home.

Rachel C. Vondal was born November 23, 1902, at Walhalla, to Arthur and Eugenie (Bachand) Vondal. She was reared and educated there. On July 7, 1928, she married Arthur B. Krause at Grafton. They resided at Grafton, Grand Forks, and Minot before moving to Williston in 1940. They continued to make their home here through the years until Mr. Krause retired from the Krause Drug Co. in February 1969. Mr. Krause died September 13, 1970.

Mrs. Krause was a member of St. Joseph's Parish and Altar Band and was formerly active in the Ladies of the Country Club.

Mrs. Krause is survived by one son, Irvin "Mike" of Williston; one daughter, Mrs. Carroll (Beverly) Lilly of Bismarck; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, mrs. Irene Chaput of Long Beach, California, and Mrs. Albertine Crandall of Santa Rosa, California.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday in the Everston Funeral Home of Williston.

Eugenie Bachand Vondal (4/10/1870 - 11/7/1937).
Arthur and Eugenie were married on August 10, 1886 in St-Simon, Quebec, Canada.

Rachel married Arthur Benjamin Krause on July 7, 1928 in Grafton, Walsh County, North Dakota.

They had two children:
