C Frederick Marker, aged 77, of rural route No 1, Mishawaka, east of Woodland, died at 10:30 am Saturday in his home. He had been in ill health for several years.

Mr Marker was born June 24, 1863, on the farm where he died.

He married Miss Mary A Masor, March 7, 1889. She died in 1937.

Surviving are one son, Delbert Marker, of Penn township, St Joseph county; one daughter, Mrs Nora Hunsberger, at home; five sisters, Mrs Martin Mochel of Woodland; Mrs N O Kelley of Mishawaka, Mrs Charles Weber and Mrs George Weber, both of South Bend and Mrs Fred Horein of Gaston, Ore, and four grandchildren.

Mr Marker was a member of St John's Evangelical and Reformed church of Woodland.

The funeral services were held Tuesday from the home at 1:30 and at St. John's at 2:30 Rev Pobanz, pastor of the church, officated. Burial in Woodland cemetery.

Mr Marker was an uncle of Mrs Harry Layer of this place.
