He was married June 30, 1897, to Minnie Bentel and five children came to bless the home, who with the good widow survive, namely: Ivo E Marker of Mishawaka, Rudolph Marker of Bremen, Mrs .Fern Beehler and Glen Marker of Wakarusa, and Loyal Marker at home; and three grandchildren.
He also leaves brothers, Philip Marker of Woodland, Fred Marker of Madison Township, and five sisters, Mrs Marlin Mochel of Woodland, Mrs Norma Kelley of Mishawaka, Mrs Charles Weber, Mrs George Weber of South Bend, and Mrs Fred Horein of Gaston, Oregon.
Mr. Marker's childhood and youth were spent in Madison Township. He was the seventh child of a family of ten children in the home of Jacob and Elizabeth Marker. His parents were pioneer farmers and he was taught the true values of live and the virtues of clean and wholesome living which he practiced during his entire life.
Mr. Marker was deeply religious and had definite and pronounced convictions of right and wrong, a firm believer in God and his church. He valued friendship highly, yet after all his love was best revealed in his home life, and the welfare of his wife and children was his first consideration.
The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, at 1:45 at the home and 2:00 at the Zion Evangelical church with Rev Pobanz, officiating. Burial in Woodland cemetery.
The pall bearers are Delbert Marker, Clayton Marker,
Stanley Kelley, Clinton Marker, Clem Mochel, George Marker and Samuel Marker.
