Arlene D. Fitch Dixon Brant, 92, died June 7, 2012. She was born August 15, 1919, in Ludington, to Charles Wesley and Ethel Vivian (Rose) Fitch. On August 15, 1937, in Ludington, she married Clifford E. Dixon, who preceded her in death in 1957. She later married Lafayette Brant, who preceded her in death in 1997. Mrs. Brant was active all her life, and had worked as a cook and was part of the kitchen staff at Oakview Medical Center until retiring. She had been active with the Girl Scouts, was an avid bowler, had a passion for gardening, and was very proud of her home garden. Arlene had been active with the Women's Society of Ludington United Methodist Church where she was a member. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ethel Fitch, a daughter, Doris V. Schram, in 2001, a grandson, eight sisters and one brother.

FAMILY: Her children, Earl (Betty) Dixon of Whitehall, Charles (Chuck) Dixon of Whitehall, and Judy Jett of Muskegon; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

SERVICE: Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Clock Funeral Home of Ludington. Interment be made in Lakeview Cemetery, Ludington.
