Clara's parents were Virgil Gist and Lela Jenkins. Aunt Clara's only husband was Hubert Monroe Provence and they were first married June 17, 1939 in Texas. Records show they were divorced once for about two weeks in 1979 but they got re-married within two weeks in Wichita Falls Texas. Aunt Clara and Uncle Hubert had 4 children together two of whom (Hubert Clifford Provence and Thomas Provence) preceded their mom in death and two daughters that are still living. Hubert Clifford is buried in the same cemetery as his parents the Burkburnett Cemetery. Aunt Clara worked most of her life at a variety of jobs especially as a cook at many different restaurants. Aunt Clara was a hard working kind hearted lady who will be missed by her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
