Clifford was the name he was known as. His father Hubert Monroe Provence and mother Clara Laverne (Gist)Provence are also buried in this cemetery. Clifford grew up in Burkburnett and lived in Burk most of his life. He ran the cotton Gin in Burkburnett for many years. Clifford's two children a son and daughter still live in the area. Clifford was a hard working man who dearly loved his kids and he took care of and watched after all of our Provence family members who lived in and around Burkburnett, especially his Uncle Dude and Aunt Pat(Arthur Duain and Patsy Provence) and our many cousins. Clifford was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Vietnam war. Unfortunately Clifford died from Cancer that he probably got from agent orange while serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
