Burton V. Walworth, 62, of 2100 Maddi St., died Thursday at Veterans Hospital. He was born in Denison, Iowa, and had lived in Kansas City 37 years. He was a cook at the Alameda Plaza Hotel before he retired. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Charlene Walworth of the home; three sons, William B. Walworth, Peculiar, Mo., and Foster Stewart Walworth and Fredrick Anthony Walworth of Kansas City; five daughters, Mrs. Janet Johnson, Rose Hill, Kan., Mrs. Linda McDonald and Mrs. Vala Patrych of Kansas City, Mrs. Juanita Berry, Leawood, and Mrs. Denise Dreton, Tempe, Ariz.; a brother, Verlin Walworth, Baraboo, Wis.; four sisters, Mrs. Evelyn McMahon, Denison, Mrs. Joy Meents, Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Thelma Brasel, Dunlap, Iowa, and Mrs. Lucille Linderman, Dow City, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the McGilley Midtown Chapel; graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at the chapel.
