Services will be on Saturday for the three victims of a car-train accident Wednesday in Chester. The car, apparently headed into town from the cemetery road, was struck broadside by the Great Northern's Western Star train at the crossing on the west side of Chester.
Victims were identified by as Jim Keith, 19, Chester, driver of the car and son of Lloyd Keith, Chester mayor and businessman; Lynn Marie Spicher, 17, daughter of Mrs. Rodney Spicher of Hingham, and Shelley Lynn Welsh, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Welsh of Hingham.
Keith, a Marine home on leave, was born June 30, 1950, in Havre. Survivors include his father and mother, Ethel of Great FallS.
Miss Welsh was born January 7, 1952, in Havre, She is survived by her parents and two sisters, Mrs. Judy Larson and Mrs. Kathleen Aspevig, both of Havre.
Miss Spicher was born February 26, 1952, in Havre. Survivors besides her mother include two brothers, Daryl and Charles (Bill), both of Hingham, and two sisters, Mrs. Charlene Ashby and Mrs. Gail Meyer, both of Great Falls.
Both Miss Spicher and Miss Welsh were active in school and community affairs. Both were cheerleaders this year, members of the chorus, teachers' aides, and both belonged to the pep club and the science club.
Miss Spicher was on both the school annual and the Spur staff and president of the CYF. Miss Welsh, who was on the Spur staff, was editor of the school annual and a member of the Luther League.
The girls, lifelong friends, were honor students in the Hingham school.
Joint services will be held in the Hingham High School auditorium at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 25, for the two girls. Miss Spicher will be buried in the Hingham Cemetery and interment for Miss Welsh will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Havre.
