The following from Kathryn Hill:
"The death of David H. Judson occurred at his home at Roseboom, Tuesday evening, November 5th, at 9:30 o'clock. Although his weak heart condition was known by his family and friends, his sudden passing came as a distinct shock to all as he had been about all day as usual and had expressed a desire to go to the polls and vote. This the family knew would be too strenuous an ordeal for him. However, he took the keenest interest in the affairs of the day. After reading the evening paper he retired for the night. A little later he complained of not feeling well, and passed away before medical aid could reach him. Mr. Judson was the son of Stephen and Amanda (Jones) Judson and was born in the town of Middlefield, May 18, 1848. He was united in marriage with Amelia Foster of Springfield December 24, 1868. He lived in the town of Middlefield until he became a resident of Roseboom thirty-four years ago. He was a wagon maker by trade, a skilled workman and except for a few years spent in farming had followed that trade exclusively ... Surviving are the aged wife and three children, Sidney Judson, a civil engineer and geologist of Houston, Texas, who because of illness was unable to be present at the funeral; Curtis Judson, Canajoharie, and Mrs. Ethel Harding, residing in the home, who for several years has been giving most tender care to the aged parents, and by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren ..."
