Edmond J. Ryan
Edmond J. Ryan, 80, died early Tuesday morning in his home on Tower Street following a long illness. He was born in Brothertown* May 22, 1862, son of the late James and Winifred Ryan. In 1889 he married Miss Margaret Gibbins in Waterville. He was employed by the Buell Shoe Factory and later was engaged in farming. He retired in 1920 and came to this village where he has since resided.
He was a member of St. Bernard's Church and of the Holy Name Society. Surviving besides his widow are several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held this morning at 9 o'clock from his home and at 9:30 from St. Bernard's Church, where a requiem high Mass was celebrated by the Rev. John L. Powers, pastor. Interment was in St. Bernard's Cemetery. The bearers were Patrick J. McDonald, George V. Hayden, Paul LaFayette, Edward Kelley, A. C. Woodhouse and Clifford McLaughlin.
