MRS WINIFRED RYAN
At her home at Forge Hollow, Tuesday, Mrs.Winifred Ryan, relict of the late James Ryan, passed away at the age of 80 years. Born in Tipperary county, Ireland, in November, 1820. she, at the age of 21, married James Ryan with whom, eight years later, she emigrated to America. After a short residence in Syracuse she removed to Forge Hollow, then scene of activity and industry and where she has lived continuously since. Of a family of twelve children seven are living, Mrs. John Agin[sic Agan] of Stockwell; Mrs. Thomas Cain and Mrs. John Duffy of Utica; Anthony Ryan of Marshall; Mrs. John Davenport, Patrick J and Edward J. Ryan of Waterville. The funeral was held at St. Bernard's Church Thursday morning at 10 o'clock.

Waterville, Sept. 12 - Tuesday in Floyd Hollow[sic, Forge Hollow], three miles north of here, occurred the death of Mrs. Winifred Ryan, aged 81 years. The deceased was born in Ireland and came to this country nearly fifty years ago, and the most of that time she has resided in this vicinity. She leaves four daughter and three sons: Mrs. Thomas Cain of Utica, Mrs. John Algen[sic, Agan] of Stockwell, Mrs. John Davenport, this place, Mrs. John Duffy, Utica, Anthony of Marshall, Edward J. and Patrick J. of this place. The funeral was held from St. Bernard's Church in this place today.
