Life Story of Gerald Armstrong-Gerald Dean Armstrong, 43, of Redondo Beach, Calif., former resident of Jasper County, died Thursday at Veterans Hospital in Long Beach, California.
Military services were by the Newton American Legion Monday, March 23, at Crumpacker Funeral Home in Monroe. Rev. Warren McFate, minister of the Monroe United Methodist Church officiated.
Burial was in Monroe Silent City Cemetery.
Surviving are his widow, Nada; his father Everett Armstrong of Newton; his mother Ruth Armstrong of Monroe; four brothers, Harold of Germany, Kenneth and Bill of Newton and Jack of Redondo Beach, Calif.; four sisters, Jean Patterson of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Shirley Hendricks and Joan Matthews of Texas and Mrs. Ila Lynch of Monroe.
He was born December 17, 1926, in Reasnor and was educated in Monroe schools.
He was married to Nada Dunaway Hodges.
