A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2003, in Finley's Sunset Hills Mortuary for Ernest Miller Cooke, who died March 15 at age 100.
Mr. Cooke was born March 18, 1902, in Sylvan, now part of Portland. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute and was a minister for West Hills Community Church in Portland and Mountain Fellowship in Brightwood, and a truck driver for Sylvan Brick. In 1933, he married Laura Waldron; she died in 1995.
Survivors include his sons, John, David and Roger; daughters, Emily Mueller, Priscilla Hill and Carolyn Wade; 19 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. Mar 19. 2003 Portland Oregonian
