He was the son of Frank and Mary Bedlan. He married LaRhee Kay Greenwood in April, 1957 and to this marriage was born a daughter and a son. John and Kay divorced in 1995. He is survived by daughter, Deborah (Joseph) Person of Cheyenne and son, John (Sherrie) Bedlan of North Platte, Ne. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Frank "Bud", infant twin sisters, and an infant brother.
