I.J. Hale, 89, pioneer Hardesty area resident, died in Memorial Hospital early Monday evening. The son of William and Emma Hale, he was born March 4, 1898 at Mountain View, Okla. He came to the Hardesty area in 1907 and had made his home there since.

He married Maggie A. Morris on July 23, 1917 at Hardesty. He was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church at Hardesty.

Besides his wife, Maggie, of the home, he is survived by three daughters, Lorene Thomas of Borger, Tex. Pamella Crim of Stanton, Tex., Dorothy McCulley of Optima; one son, Leon Hale of Liberal, Kan.; one brother, Marlin Hale of Hardesty; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Apostolic Faith Church in Hardesty Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ollie Kinser, pastor, officiating . Interment will be in the Range Cemetery southeast of Hardesty under the direction of the Henson Funeral Home of Guymon.
