Lorene Thomas passed away Tuesday December 30, 2014 in Borger.

She was born September 12, 1918 in Range, Oklahoma to Ira Jennings and Maggie Agnes (Morris) Hale.

She married Lawerence Ray "Pete" Thomas on June 11, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1974.

Mrs. Thomas was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Borger and was a member of WMU.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sisters Sunshine and Dorothy Hale, brothers Tommy Hale, Ira Hale, Clifford Hale and Lear Hale.

She is survived by her daughter Florence Wright of Nixa, Missouri and a sister Pamela Prim of Lubbock, Texas, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday January 5, 2015 at the First Baptist Church Auditorium at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa.

Family visitation will be held Sunday January 4, 2015 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains. Viewing will be held Friday January 2, 2015 from 8AM to 5PM at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Mission Offerings.

She married Lawrence Roy “Pete” Thomas on June 11, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1974.

Mrs. Thomas was a devoted and active member of the First Baptist of Borger having served on the Missions Committee. She was a passionate member of WMU, served as a Past President of WMU, was an Associational WMU president for 2 terms, and was on the executive board of Texas WMU for over 10 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sisters Wanda Doreen and Dorothy Hale, brothers Tommy Hale, Ira Hale, Clifford Hale and Leon Hale.

She is survived by her daughter Florence Wright of Nixa, Missouri and a sister Pamella Crim of Lubbock, Texas, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday January 5, 2015 at the First Baptist Church Worship Center at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa.
