OBITUARY:
January 2, 1970, Edwin W. Moran, Route 2, Olpe, died Friday morning in Newman Memorial County Hospital in Emporia. Mr. Moran was born September 6, 1891, in Eureka, the son of Jesse and Sarah Taylor Moran. He was married to Ruth E. Emrich November 19, 1924, in Emporia. Surviving are his wife of the home; two sons, Edwin E. Moran of Olpe and Delbert W. Moran of Emporia; a daughter, Mrs. L. J. (Myrtle) Eisenhauer of Plains; a brother, William W. Moran of Plainville; eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. He was a member of the Christian Church.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in Roberts-Blue-Barnett chapel in Emporia, and were conducted by the Rev. Philip Eugene Riley, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Madison. The soloist was Mrs. Larry Eisenhauer, the organist was Mrs. Robert Plummer and the pallbearers were Delbert Stevenson, Darrell D. Jones, Al and William A. Rathke, William J. Williams and Vernon Kinsey. Burial was in the Greenwood cemetery at Eureka.
