Dan Moran, as he was affectionately known, claimed Eureka, Kansas as his home, moving from here to Fullerton, California five years ago. His many trips to Eureka to be with his old friends were a yearly adventure from which he derived great joy. Mr. Moran was a member of the Christian church of Eureka. He also retained his membership in the IOOF and Rebecca lodges here. The loss of his life partner just four months before their fiftieth wedding anniversary was a very bitter experience and one from which he never recovered; however, he put his life in the hands of God and carried on, helpful and cheerful and never complaining even up to the day of his death.

Neighbors and friends know they have lost a true friend and are saddened by the loss for he always had a wave of his hand and a cheerful greeting for everyone.

Services were held at the McCormick Mortuary in Fullerton, CA, on Tuesday, September 6, and the interment was at Loma Vista Cemetery.
