Cecile Powell, age 51, a resident of Albuquerque, was born on December 17, 1953 in San Diego, CA and passed away on Friday, March 25, 2005. Cecile is survived by five sisters and one brother, Rita Ward, Maureen Gardner and her husband, Whit, Lizabeth Jones and her husband, Barry, Theresa Schumann and her husband, Mark, Suzanne Powell and her husband, Ed Vaillancourt and Thomas Powell and his wife, Lee Ann and numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
Cecile was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas H. and Ann Powell. Cecile was a Registered Nurse for over 25 years and an accomplished writer. Cecile was active in the Catholic Church as a member and a volunteer, and also volunteered in the Albuquerque Community.
A Prayer Vigil will be recited on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 815 Guaymas Pl. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. until time of Rosary. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of Central NM, 1410 Coal Ave. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87104
