Mrs. Sylvania Bear Wert, of North Middleton Township, Carlisle, R.D. 2, died last night at her home after an illness of three weeks. She was aged 67 years.

A member of the North Middleton Church of God, she was the widow of William H. Wert and the daughter of the late George W. and Mary Clouser Bear.

Survivors are four daughters and three sons, Mrs. C.H. Chambers, of Harrisburg; Earl W. Wert, Carlisle, R.D. 3; Mrs. Nelson Shughart, Clayton G. and Charles W. Wert, Carlisle, R.D. 2; Jessie H. Wert, Mechanicsburg, R.D. 1, and Margaret Wert, at home; 23 grandchildren; four sisters and three brothers, John M. Bear, Carlisle, R.D. 5; Mrs. Clara Myers, Mechanicsburg, R.D.; Mrs. Emma Parthemore, Harrisburg; George Washington Bear, Carlisle, R.D. 3; Mrs. Mary Powley, Shermansdale; Daniel Bear, Landisburg, and Mrs. Addison Wolf, Carlisle, R.D. 2.

Services will be held at 1:20 Saturday from the J.R. Shulenberger funeral home where friends may call Friday night. Further rites will be held in the North Middleton Church of God with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Officiating will be her pastor, Rev. H.P. Johns, Plainfield, and Rev. W.C. Fortney, Newburg.

RITES FOR MRS. WERT

Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvania Bear Wert, of Carlisle, R.D. 2, who died at her home on Tuesday were held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the J.E. (sic) Shulenberger funeral home, followed by further services in the North Middleton Church of God. Her pastor, Rev. H.P. Johns, officiated, assisted by Rev. W.C. Fortney, og (sic) Newburg. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Pallbearers were: Roy Shughart, William Brownawell, Charles Long, Frank and Abram Lehman and Arthur Quigley.
