Rudolph Lewis
Eckhart - Rudolph B. Lewis, 50, died yesterday at Baker VA Center, Martinsburg, where
he had been a patient four months.
A native and lifelong resident of Eckhart, he was a son of the late Abraham and Martha
(Willison) Lewis.
He was a member of Eckhart Baptist Church, Farrady Post 24, American Legion, Moose Lodge,
Fraternal Order of Eagles, all of Frostburg, and the Lonaconing Republican Club.
Surviving are his wife, Hilda (Leasure) Lewis, a daughter, Mrs. Norma Yonker, Cumberland,
four sons, Staff Sgt. Ronald Lewis, Andrews AFB, Sgt. Richard E. Lewis with the Army in
Germany, Bradford L. Lewis, Railroad, Pa., and William R. Lewis, at home, a sister Mrs.
Anna Mae Keister, Cumberland, six brothers, Thomas W., William A., James and John L.
Lewis, all of here, George W. Lewis, Keyser, and Edward Lewis, Hyndman, and 13 grandchildren.
The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home, 60 West Main Street, Frostburg, where friends will be
received today from 7 until 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m.
A service will be conducted there Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. George W. Hattenfield will
officiate and burial will be in Eckhart Cemetery.
