JOHN W. ARNOLD
At his home on Third Street in Oakland Monday morning at an early hour, John W. Arnold, for more than forty years a resident of Oakland, died after months of suffering with a cancer of the stomach. Mr. Arnold was born in Frederick City and came to Oakland when young with his parents. He was aged more than 62 years and is survived by his wife, who was a Miss Waltz, and his daughter, Mrs. W. A. Whorton. The funeral of the deceased took place from St. Paul's church in Oakland yesterday afternoon, the services being conducted by Rev. Williamson, with interment in the Oakland cemetery.
