CURWENSVILLE - Services for John William Knepp Sr., 75, of 207 McNaul St., Curwensville, will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m., from the Russell H. Lininger Funeral Home, Curwensville.
The Rev. Maynard S. Barnhart will officiate and interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Mr. Knepp died in the Hershey Medical Center, Monday, July 26 at 8:48 p.m.
He was born in Woodland July 4, 1901, a son of Ira M. and Rilla (Johnston) Knepp. He was a retired employee of North American Refractories and a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Curwensville.
Mr. Knepp serviced as secretary and treasurer of the Lutheran Church Council for 40 years, and service as Sunday School superintendent.
He is survived y his wife, the former Hazel Rowles, and the following children: Henry of Curwensville; Mrs. Wilfred (Alberta) Lines of Augusta, Ga.; John Jr. of Warren, Ohio, and Mrs. A. Thomas (Peggy) Blackburn of Curwnesville, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
The following brothers and sisters survive: Calvin of Curwnesville; Burton of Clearfield; Mrs. Don (Rosie) Way of Curwensville; Ira of DuBois; A. O. Knepp of Mechanicsburg; Mrs. Kay Liddle of Butler; Mrs. Jack (Twilla) Mathieson of Warren, Ohio; Col. Lester Knepp of Augusta, Ga., and Robert of Warren, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mrs. Rose Bloom, and a brother, Samuel.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 p.m. today until the time of services. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Heart Fund, or to Grace Lutheran Church.
