CURWENSVILLE - Ira M. (Shottie) Knepp Jr., 67, of Curwensville, died at 1:40 a.m. today at the Clear Haven Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 22, 1919, in Curwensville, he is the son of the late Ira M. and Rilla M. (Johnston) Knepp Sr.
A member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Curwensville, Mr. Knepp managed a grocery store on Curwensville's Ridge Avenue for most of his life.
He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Burton Knepp, Clearfield; Calvin Knepp and Mrs. Donald (Roxie) Way, both from Curwensville; A. O. Knepp, Mechanicsburg; Mrs. Kay Liddle, Butler; Col. Lester J. Knepp, Augusta, Ga.; Mrs. Jack (Twila) Mathieson and Robert Knepp, both of Warren, Ohio.
A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and the following brothers and sister: Rose Bloom, Samuel and John Knepp.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Russell H. Lininger Funeral Home, Curwensville with the Rev. John Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening beginning at 7 p.m. and until the hour of services Thursday.
