MR. ROY NORLIN

Roy Elliot Norlin was born on July 9, 1895 in Dayton, Iowa, the son of Wilhemina and August Norlin, and died at his home in Cumming, Iowa on Saturday, Dec. 5, 1964. He was baptized and confirmed in the Emanuel Lutheran church in Dayton.

In December of 1923 he was united in marriage with Agatha Fisher of Webster City, Iowa, and to this union nine children were born. Mrs. Norlin died on August 13, 1946.

He was a veteran of World War I, and a charter member of the Dayton American Legion. He farmed for many years in the Boxholm, Iowa community and united with the Trinity Lutheran church of Boxholm in 1943 with his family.

On May 10, 1961, Mr. Norlin married Ethel McQuail of Cumming.

Mr. Norlin is survived by his nine children: Carmen of Monticello; Keith of Marathon; Gilbert of Indianola; Alan of Des Moines; Larry of Norwalk, and four daughters, Leitha Norlin and Irene, Mrs. Richard Phipps of Norwalk; Elinor, Mrs. Harry Higgins and Hyla, Mrs. James Banister of San Francisco, California, together with his wife, Ethel [of]Cumming, one brother Harold Norlin of Ames, and a sister, Mrs. Arthur Olson of Story City; 20 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
