Jean Marie Clifton Davis passed away at her home Grimsleyville, Va. in Buchanan County July 23 2012.
She was the daughter of the late John Andrew Clifton and Stella Keen Clifton and wife of the late Joe Henry "Junior" Davis,Jr.
She was a 1960 graduate of Garden High School Oakwood, Va. and attended the Levisa Assembly Church.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by one daughter-Valerie "Robin" Davis Deskins and husband Gerald Deskins,Sr.
One son-Scott Bryan Davis.
Two grandsons--Gerald Deskins,Jr. and wife Jackie and Cameron Davis.
Two great granddaughters--Madison Deskins and Abigail Deskins.
One sister--Delcia Clifton Alderson.
Two brothers--Guster Clifton and wife Darva and Jerrell Clifton.
Sister-in-laws--Jeanette Boyd Clifton--Ruby Alderson Shortt Winesette--Shirley Davis Endicott and Nelsene Davis Sanders.
A host of Nieces and Nephews and many many friends and neighbors.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Virginia with Rev. James Hale and Rev. Ancil Childress officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Gerald Deskins,Sr, Gerald Deskins,Jr, Scott Davis, William Duncan,Jr, Todd Bruce, Rett Clifton, and David Nickels.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Wednesday at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff, Virginia.
