Andrew Dolphus Andy Shortt,62,passed away November 26 1987 in Amherst County Virginia of an apparent heart attack while visiting his daughter.
He was born in Red Ash Virginia in Tazewell County and was the son of the late George Shortt and step-son of the late John Andrew Clifton.
Preceded him in death are one son--Benny Earl Shortt.
Three half-brothers--Ordos Earl Shortt--Carlos Adam Clifton and Arnerl Lee Ondus Clifton.
Five half-sisters--Georgia Shortt Baan--Love Vada Clifton--Carrie Bell Clifton--Carmella Cornella Clifton and Verdie Irine Clifton .
Survivors are--his mother--Stella Octavia Wimmie Keen Clifton.
His wife--Ruby Geraldine Alderson Shortt.
One son--Michael Mike Andrew Shortt and wife Vickie of Roanoke Virginia.
Two daughters--Sharon Kaye Shortt Manning Spencer and husband Noel of Amhurst Virginia and Sheila Faye Shortt Smith and husband Billy of Roanoke Virginia.
Two half brothers--Guster Clevenger Clifton and wife Darva and Jerrell Lester Clifton and wife Jeanette both of Rt-1 Raven Virginia.
Three half sisters-- Orthie Shortt Burke and husband Thurman of Rt-1 Raven Virginia--Delcia Oakley(Clifton)Alderson and husband Sidney of Roanoke Virginia and Jean Marie(Clifton)Davis and husband Joe,Jr. of Rt-1 Raven Virginia.
Two granddaughters and three grandsons.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Burial will be in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Roanoke Virginia.
