Funeral services for Jimmy Victor Brabham will be held at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012, in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Charles E. Robinson officiating. Committal services will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery of Oakdale, under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Jimmy, 83, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 12, 2012 in residence. He was born on November 6, 1928 in Oakdale, to the union of Felder and Bertha Linzay Brabham. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He owed a country store in Beaver after serving in the military. He owned and operated J. V. Freezer Fresh Ice Cream trucks, and was a heavy equipment operator in Local 406. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Felder and Bertha Linzay Brabham; three brothers, R. T. Brabham, Raymond Brabham and Monroe Brabham; and one sister, Leah Dorothy Vincent.

He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory, three sisters, Mavis Fontenot (husband) Iland of Oakdale, Loretta Faught (husband) Gene of Alexandria, and Norma Haggard of Houston; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will Lindsey B. Diboll, James Brabham, Patrick Haggard, Joshua Hulick, Nick Hulick, and Michael Grantham. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Timothy Vincent and Dewey Diboll.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 2 p.m. until time of service in the chapel.
