Services for Monroe James Brabham will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church, Oakdale, with the Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery under direction of White Oaks, Oakdale.

Brabham, 74, of Oakdale, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Alexandria.

He was a lifelong resident of Oakdale. He was a member of First Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran and a operator/engineer of Local #406.

Survivors include four sisters, Mavis Fontenot and Leah Vincent, both of Oakdale, Norma Haggard of Houston and Loretta Faught of Alexandria and one brother, Jimmy V. Brabham of Lake Charles.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until shortly before services Sunday in the funeral home.
