Lewis T. Adams was the son of Moses Adams and Mrs. Sarah (?) Munson of Wilkes Co., NC and Scott Co., KY. After death of father Moses Adams his mother with children from 1st husband to Eliaseph Munson and children by 2nd husband Moses Adams moved to Blue River Twp., Hancock Co., Indiana.
Lewis T. Adams married around 1816 in Scott Co., KY to an Elizabeth (Owen?) He is listed on 1814 Tax List of Scott Co., KY. Fire destroyed all marriage record prior to 1838 in Courthouse in Georgetown,
Scott Co., Kentucky.
Land Grant Nov. 20, 1826 signed by President John Quincy Adams March 20, 1827, 80 ac land in Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN.

Probate of Estate is in Hancock Co., IN. Book A, page 60, 13 May, 1844, Adm. of Estate, Final Settlement Book 1 page 196, son Alfred Adams Administrator of Estate. Alfred Adams was his oldest child.

He and wife Elizabeth had 7 known children:

1. Alfred Adams m. Elizabeth A. Willis
2. Thomas Thornton Adams m. 1/w Sarah Bentley 2/w Elizabeth (Rider) Smith
3. Woodford H. Adams m. Eliza Jane Lankford

According to Cemetery book Lewis T. and Elizabeth Adams are buried in this cemetery. The only stone found was for son Lewis W. Adams but there are older stones near by that are unreadable.
