Allen Munson born 1772-1773 Rowan Co., NC., died after 1860 Hancock Co., IN. He was the son of Eliaseph Munson and Sarah (?) Munson of Rowan Co., NC.; Eagle Creek, Scott Co., KY.,' and Brandywine Twp., Hancock Co., Indiana. His widowed mother "Sally" Sarah (?) Munson, Adams (Mrs. Moses Adams) moved to Blue River Twp., Hancock Co., IN., with half of his Adams 1/2 siblings around 1832.
Allen Munson married 31 July, 1795 Shelby Co., KY., 1/wife Sarah Griffin d/o Ralph Griffin and Catherine (Munson). Making them half 1st cousins. Sarah Griffin was born @1778-died 1830-1838 time frame. She is mentioned in 1838 in father Ralph Griffins Will Switzerland Co., IN., as being deceased. Died around
1833.

Allen Munson marries a second time 1833 probably in Scott Co., KY., Mrs. Sarah (?) Smith. She was born 1783 Maryland on 1850 Federal Census Connorsville, Fayette Co., IN., 1860 Federal Census Brandywine Twp., Hancock Co., IN., died 1862. Living with them is a Theodore L. Smith age 18 b.Indiana, grandson from daughter Julia A. Smith of 2nd wife Mrs. Sarah (?) Smith, Munson. If Allen Munson and 2/wife Mrs Sarah Smith married in Scott Co., KY., the Courthouse fire in 1837 destroyed their marriage record. 1850 Census Allen and 2/wife Sarah (?) Smith, Munson living Connorsville, Fayette Co., IN., with Allen's son David K Munson whoses 1/w was a Polly Smith the daughter of Allen's 2/wife from her 1st marriage.
It is this 2nd wife (Mrs. Sarah ? Smith, Munson) that is buried in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Hancock Co., IN. NOT first wife Sarah Griffin Munson d/o Ralph Griffin and Catherine (Munson) Griffin.
The 2nd wife Mrs. Sarah (?) Smith) Munson her 3 Smith children from her 1st marriage marriage, married 3 children of her 2nd marriage to Allen Munson and his 1/w Sarah Griffin.
So 3 Smith children m. 3 Munson children.
