Moses Adams born 1755 British Colonies, North America. He married 1788 Wilkes Co., NC. to Mrs. Sarah Munson widow of Eliaseph Munson, who had died in 1778 of Rowan Co., NC. Moses Adams listed on Tax Lists 1787, 1788, 1789, 1790, 1791, 1792, 1793 Wilkes Co., NC. 1789 he is in Capt. Thurston's District 7 says: Moses Adams 100 ac 1 poll. I believe they moved to Scott Co., Kentucky between 1796-1798. In 1796 there were no more major Indiana attacks in Kentucky but isolated attacks only. Settlers felt like they could move to Kentucky in safety after 1796.

Moses Adams and step-sons Allen and William Munson are found on tax list of 1799 on Eagle Creek, Scott Co., KY. James Adams, his son on 1850 Edgar Co. Federal Census says he was born 1789 in Fredericks Co., VA. The Adams family might have left for Virginia a few months and returned to Wilkes Co., NC.

Will is hard to read because of the fire. Many of the words missing example last name of Adams but prominent on Index of Wills. He appoints Terrill Adams and ___? as his executors. Mrs. Rhoda (Morris) Polk is one of the witnesses of the Will.
Rhoda (Morris) Polk is the wife of Ephraim Polk whose daughter Nancy Polk marries Isaac Adams son of Moses Adams and Sarah (?) Munson Adams.
