William Munson son of Eliaseph Munson and Sarah (?) Munson born 1775-1778 time frame Rowan Co., NC. He married @1799 Dicey Ann (Dycey Ann) __? probably Scott Co., KY. The Georgetown Court House fire in 1837 resulted in loss of all marriage records prior to 1837. A few books of wills and other records did survive with water and smoke damage.
1799 Tax Record William Munson is living in Eagle Creek area next to brother Allen Munson and step-father Moses Adams and his mother Sarah (?) Munson, Adams.
1800,1810,1820 living in Scott Co., KY. He died in 1821 Eastpart of Scott Co., KY.

Court Order Box which survived fire of 1838, Vol. B. 1817-1826, Page 71,75. Probate Ordered for William Munson.
Names in document were oaths: Moses Adams (his step-father), ...Mr. Shannon, Mathew Barkley and one of the Executors Mr. Shinn with Harrison W. Rankins and Isaac Adams his secy, Jno. Price, Wm. Vance, William Price appraise personal estate and slaves if any of said deceased and report to court.

2. Sanford-Sandford Munson m. 1/w Lucy Mefford 2/w Louisa Butler who later marries Ebenezer Reed.
3. Susan Munson m. John W. Fields Sr.
4. Martha Munson m. George W. Maddox
5. Bradford Munson m. Elvessa Penn
6. Mary Munson m. Reason Fields Jr.
7. Shelby Munson m. Rebecca Mary Curtis
8. William Munson Jr. m. "Patsy" Mary Estes (moved to Warren Co., Illinois and listed on 1840 Federal Census, then moved to Liberty, Clay Co., Missouri).

No proof of burial in this cemetery but believe buried here with other Munson relatives.

From surviving land deeds and tax records I believe the land on Rogers Gap and Turkeyfoot Rd. where Munson Family Cemetery located was orginally land of William Munson and Dycey Ann and passed down to children. William and wife Dycey Ann, son Sanford Munson and 2/w Louisa Ann Butler Munson most likely buried in this cemetery. Shelby Munson and wife Rebecca Mary Curtis are buried here. No, tombstones survive as per Donna Skinner Shuey only field stones which were probably head and foot stones of family members. Donna Skinner Shuey descendant of Shelby Munson and Rebecca Mary Curtis.
