Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Thompson Hillman were Sunday, July 15, 2012 in the Occupy #1 Baptist Church, Pitkin, Reverend Sherman Busby officiated. Interment followed in Occupy #1 Cemetery. Mrs. Hillman, 75, of Pitkin entered eternal rest on Friday, July 13, 2012 in Rosepine Retirement Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Riley Hillman; four brothers, Curtis Thompson, Bobby Lee Thompson, Earl Thompson and Cecil Thompson and one sister, Ruby Thompson.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her three sonsand two daughtrs-in-law; three daughters and two sons-in-law; two brothers and sisters-in-law; four sisters and two brothers-in-law and six grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
