PITKIN - Funeral services for Bobby Lee Thompson, 50, of Oakdale, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 28, in Occupy No. 1 Baptist Church. The Revs. James Johnson and Mike Paxson and Wilburn Perkins will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home of Oakdale. Visitation is 8-10:30 a.m. today in the funeral home and from noon in the church. Mr. Thompson died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2001, in the Oakdale hospital. He worked in the timber industry. Survivors include his wife, Susan Ann Thompson of Glenmora; three sons, Mark Thompson, Eric Thompson and Jason Thompson, all of Glenmora; three daughters, Dawn Marie Perkins, Cynthia Ann Thompson and Katie Ann Thompson, all of Glenmora; four brothers, Earl Thompson of Oakdale, Herman Thompson of Pitkin, Willie Thompson of Glenmora and Cecil Thompson of Forest Hill; five sisters, Lois Wiley of Merryville, Velma Hillman of Leesville, Dovie Orr and Mavis Bullock, both of Dallas, and Edna M. Bass of Kinder; his mother, Ethel Thompson of Oakdale; and one grandchild.
