The funeral for Robert Samuel Patrick, 82, of 722 Dibble St., Bowman, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Bowman, with the Rev. Tommy Thurston and the Rev. Jim Parnell officiating. Burial will be in Bowman Memorial Cemetery in Bowman.
The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
Pallbearers will be Mike Westberry, Al Metts, Paul Holt, Herbert Judy, Trey Atkinson, Ralph Hughes, Larry Jumper and Jimmy Rast. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Sunday School Class and the deacons of First Baptist Church in Bowman.
Mr. Patrick passed away on Monday evening, July 9, surrounded by his loving family at his bedside.
He was born May 8, 1930, in Bowman, a son of the late John Fulton Patrick and the late Rhodie Austin Patrick. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bowman, a former deacon, and was treasurer of Vacation Bible School for many years. He was a former town councilman of Bowman. He loved to go camping and do gardening. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
