Birth and Baptism Certificate (Taufschein or Fraktur) for Maria Elisabetha Firor:
"To these two married people, Daniel Firor and his wedded wife, born Margaretha Martin, a daughter was born into the world, in the year of our Lord 1816, the 6th day of March. She was born in Maryland, in Frederick County, North America, and was baptized with the name Maria Elisabetha the 21st day of April, 1816. Sponsors were Henrich Firor and his wedded wife, Anna Maria."
--The taufschein is in the possession of Gregg D. Freese, Takoma Park, Maryland. It had been passed down to Emma Alice Sigmund Martin, who gave it to her grandson, Maynard Kenneth Freese (my uncle). It came into my possession after his only child, Timothy Freese, died in Baltimore 1985.
