"May 13th, 1861--Fredk. F. Sigmund departed this life, buried 15th Stone Church. Read by Revd. Comfort part of the nineteenth Psalm. Text First Kings (alias Samuel) twinteenth [sic] chapter & last clause of the third verse, 'There is but one step between me and death'. Text read by Rev. Comfort, his sermon especially for young men. Ecclesiastes eleventh chapter and ninth verse, 'Rejoice therefore o young man thy youth, and let thy heart be in that which is in good in the day of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thy heart, and in the sight of thy eyes, and know that for all these God will bring the into judgment.' At the funeral, singing and prayer by Revd. Hunt. Funeral sermon by Revd. Comfort. Age of F. Sigmund 19 years, 4 months and 15 days."
