Anna Mae Wilson, 82, of Nevada, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, at Story County Long Term Care in Nevada. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tom Poppe officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens in rural Nevada.
Anna Mae Wilson was born June 2, 1924, in Douglas, Wyo., to Albert and Gladys (Welsh) Casperson. She married Charles N. Wilson Feb. 21, 1948, in Unionville, Mo. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by one stepdaughter, Sue Ness, of Ames; two grandchildren, Kurtis Ness, of Ankeny, and Shelly Amundson, of Stafford, Va.; three great-grandchildren, Sarah and Katie Amundson and Stella Ness; three brothers, Clarence Airhart, Larry Airhart and Earl Airhart, all of Des Moines; four sisters, Shirley Broders, of Grinnell, Elnora McBride, of Marshalltown, Wanda Schmuck, of London, Ohio, and Lois Tilley of Gilmer, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles, on Oct. 8, 1990; two brothers, James Casperson in 1987 and Don Airhart in 1998; and two sisters, Lena Alberta Allie in 2004 and Sandra K. Halderman.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday, Jan. 19, at the church.
Memorials may be given to the Kidney Foundation in Anna Mae's name.
