Eunice Clingman was the eldest daughter of Ira and Genevieve Bennett Clingman. She was born south of Linby, Iowa. Her siblings were Edith Owen, Lila Lewis, Sylvia Nicola, Vera Hill, and Deane Clingman.

Eunice married Roscoe White on March 13, 1939. They lived in Linby, Iowa most of their married life. Eunice graduated from Packwood High School in 1932, attended Parsons College in Fairfield, the University of Iowa in Iowa City, and graduated from William Penn College in 1963. She was a schoolteacher for 45 years, 20 years in Washington, Jefferson and Keokuk County rural schools and 25 years as an elementary school teacher in the Pekin Community Schools. She retired in 1979. Eunice was a member of the Linby Baptist Church, the Wide Awake Club, the Linby Zephyr Club, the Retired Teachers Association and attended both Packwood and Ollie Senior Citizen functions.

Roscoe and Eunice were the parents of four children: Stephen White, who died at 3 days of age, an infant daughter who died at birth, Mike White and Mary White Maxwell. They had six grandchildren: Wendi White, Jeff White, Amy White Pitt, Amanda Maxwell, Emily Maxwell, and Adam Maxwell and had one great-grandchild, C.J. White.
