Melvin C. Rogers, 80, RR4, Hartford City, died at the Willow Hall Nursing Home at 11 p.m. Wednesday.
He was a retired farmer and a life resident of Blackford County.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Richman-Markin Mortuary with Dr. Roy Turley officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Rogers was a native of Blackford County and was born April 9, 1889, the son of Aaron and Amanda Listenfeltz Rogers. He was married to Rosa B. Dearduff on August 6, 1910. She died May 28, 1960.
Surviving are 3 sons, Melvin A., Montpelier; Clifford J. and Virgil A., both of Hartford City; a daughter Mrs. Harry (Mable) McDonald, Hartford City; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. One great-grandchild is deceased.
